PhiDiP 03/08/2017: Nonlocality and Bell's Theorem

"If [a hidden variable theory] is local it will not agree with quantum mechanics, and if it agrees with quantum mechanics it will not be local."
- John Bell-

This week PhiDiP will be all about Bell's Theorem, and the seemingly spooky action at a distance that results from the violation of locality. The following reading is a thorough but accessible explanation of the theory and experimental results.

We will be meeting in Plaza 220-A3 at 2:00pm this Wednesday, March 8th and all are welcome.
